NFL Week 6 Preview and Predictions

Week six features 14 games, with four teams on a bye. The Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Las Vegas Raiders, and Tennessee Titans won’t be in action until next week, but all other teams will be taking the field. So far, this season has seen a lot of unpredictable results and plenty of drama. It’s been difficult for bettors and analysts to come up with winning predictions due to just how many upsets and turnarounds there have been. Still, it’s made great viewing for all of the fans.

This week sees the rematch of last season’s best game as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Buffalo Bills. There’s also a major contest between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys as they fight for top position in the NFC East. If you want to place a bet this week, you can find odds on all NFL games at Betway.

Buffalo Bills vs Kansas City Chiefs

Last season saw these two teams face off in the divisional playoff in what turned out to be one o the best games of the season. With just 13 seconds left on the clock, the Chiefs managed to overtime with a final drive and went on to win the game 42-36. Interestingly, that game led to the NFL changing the rules for playoff overtime, ensuring that both sides would get the ball.

While the stakes aren’t as high in this game, it’s still an excellent matchup between two strong sides that each have a 4-1 record so far. In addition, it could decide the home-field advantage for the playoffs, and most would predict it to be a preview of the AFC Championship game.

The Bills are currently the -135 favorites after heavily beating the Steelers last weekend, while the Chiefs came back from behind to defeat the Raiders. Each team has a lot of confidence coming into this game, and it will be the first time that Patrick Mahomes will be an underdog at home in his career.

Prediction: Chiefs +2.5

Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are currently the only side in the league with a perfect start so far. Meanwhile, the Cowboys have a 4-1 record but shouldn’t be underestimated. Both sides have a great chance of making the playoffs, and this could easily be a preview of a big playoff matchup.

The Eagles are the last remaining unbeaten team thanks to Jalen Hurts and a strong defense, while the Cowboys have been so complete that they haven’t needed quarterback Cooper Rush to step in with Dak Prescott missing. Rush has only made 102 passing yards since week one, with the Cowboys mainly running the ball. Rush has less opportunity to make mistakes as long as they stick to their strengths and guard the ball well.

However, the Cowboys will be up against their biggest test so far. Jalen Hurts passed 239 yards last week and picked up two rushing touchdowns, and the Eagles’ defense has been enough to limit the opposition to very few opportunities so far. The Eagles are -265 favorites, and most predict them to come out on top at home.

Prediction: Eagles -6.5

New York Jets vs Green Bay Packers

Both the Jets and the Packers have a 3-2 record coming into this game, and it’s an intriguing matchup. The Jets have been this season’s biggest overachievers, surprising a lot of fans most recently as they scored 40 points against the Miami Dolphins.

Meanwhile, the Packers are the stronger side here and are the -330 favorites. However, they lost to the Giants last weekend, and there are signs that cracks could be showing in their defense. It’s hard to count out the Jets after the strong showing they’ve had so far this season, but the Packers are the favorites for a reason.

Prediction: Packers -7.5
