DFS Leverage Report

Leverage is the single most misunderstood idea in tournament DFS. It isn’t just “play low-owned players” — plenty of low-owned players are low-owned because they’re bad. Real leverage is the gap between how good a play is and how much the field will roster it. This report puts that gap on screen for every player: it compares each player’s modeled optimal-lineup rate against projected ownership and scores the difference. Positive numbers (green) are the plays the field is under-rostering relative to their upside. Negative numbers (red) are over-owned chalk you can fade to get different. It spans MLB, NFL, NBA, PGA, NASCAR, and MMA on DraftKings and FanDuel.

This is a GPP tool, not a cash tool. In cash games you only need to beat about half the field, so you want the highest-floor lineup and you’re often happy to be on the chalk. In large-field tournaments, where the goal is a top-1% finish, leverage is what lets a correct read actually pay — because when your under-owned play hits, you aren’t splitting the prize with thousands of identical lineups. The visual bar next to each player shows the magnitude and direction of the edge at a glance.

Use it alongside the Boom/Bust Tool (which tells you why a player has upside) and your sport’s chalk page to confirm ownership. Then build in BaconLab.
