What each view shows

Overview is tonight at a glance: salary and its change since the last slate, projection, minutes, value, fantasy points per minute, ownership, rest, defense versus position, usage and the gap between a player’s last three games and his last ten. Sims shows the full simulated range from the 25th percentile floor to the 99th percentile ceiling. Value Hits and Point Hits turn that range into the chance of reaching 3x to 8x salary value or 10 to 70 fantasy points. Recent Form, Matchup and Vegas, and Season Stats cover the rest of the research in one place.

How to use hit rates

A projection is a single number, but a lineup wins or loses on the range. In cash games, sort Value Hits by 5x on DraftKings and favor players who clear it most often. In tournaments, sort Point Hits by the higher thresholds and look for players with a real chance at a ceiling game at modest ownership. Because hit rates are read off the simulation, they move whenever the projection or minutes move.

Defense versus position, pace and rest

Defense versus position compares the fantasy points an opponent allows to guards, forwards or centers with the league average, so plus 8 percent means a softer matchup than most. Pace blends both teams and compares the result with the league, since more possessions mean more fantasy points for everyone on the floor. Rest flags the second night of a back to back.
